Visa options and requirements
- 30 days on arrival. Extension: 30 days at Chiang Mai Immigration (Promenada Mall).
- Education visa (language or Muay Thai): 1 year, 1 border run mid-year.
- Thailand Elite: most efficient long-term option.
- Border run to Mae Sai (Myanmar, 4.5 hours) or Poi Pet (Cambodia, 5.5 hours).
